If you have stubborn algae problems in your pond, on your waterfall
rocks, stream beds, or other hard-to-treat places, then Algae-Off can be
of help.
This is a true algaecide and registered with the EPA for algae control. It works on contact to kill string algae and helps to remove the clingy algae that sticks to rocks in and around the pond.
Algae-Off is safe for fish and can be used in conjunction with
beneficial bacteria to help keep your pond cleaner. It acts fast, and
then dissipates quickly while also adding a bit of oxygen to the pond
water.
Available in 2, 10, and 25 pound containers, there is a treatment
option for every size of pond. Simply sprinkle the recommended dosage
directly on the algae for easy and simple control.
Usage Tip: Like all algaecides, Algae-Off should be used as directed to avoid any harm to fish or other aquatic wildlife.
We like to use Algae-Off as a spot control for the most part. If
you choose to treat a widespread growth of algae, particularly in a
small pond, it's best to treat it in small sections at a time. This
helps to avoid a rapid die off of a large algae mass, which can lead to
oxygen depletion in a pond. Also if you have aeration be sure to have
that running when treating.
When treating waterfalls and rocks, the surface must be wet when
Algae-Off is applied. Any dry powder should be washed or dissolved away
and once done, the product is harmless to fish and wildlife.
